Impact7G assisted the City of Burlington, Iowa with their EPA Brownfields Assessment and Area-Wide Planning initiatives. Impact7G designed, built, and maintained a website that provides copious information on the project. The project met the City’s cooperative agreement objectives of redevelopment of the downtown. The project required the creation of numerous Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments.

Upon completion of Phase II ESAs, Impact7G evaluated cleanup alternatives based on the intended redevelopment use. Two properties assessed under this project, a former printing building and a former police station, are currently being developed for residential use. Impact7G worked closely with the IDNR and enrolled one significant parcel in Iowa’s Land Reuse Program (LRP). Community engagement activities occurred throughout the grant period some of which were held in concert with the EPA Area Wide Planning effort.
